WE NEED YOUR HELP
We need your help now. Over the last year, the City of Montreal's Public Consultation Office worked on preparing their report on the public consultations as well as a list of recommendations. The report and recommendations were made public on June 15th, 2020. They address crucial issues that affect the well-being and development of racialized communities in Montreal: racial and social profiling, discrimination in employment, in the arts and culture, housing, entrepreneurship, etc. To learn more about the Report's 11 findings and 38 recommendations, as well as a review of the key highlights of this consultation, please consult the OCPM documentation.
Let's make sure that the recommendations are adopted and that policies are implemented to dismantle systemic racism at the source. Your financial support will help fuel this citizen mobilization to bring about real change and combat systemic racism and discrimination in Montreal.
Your donations will be used by Montreal in Action to:
Develop educational content, workshops, and trainings on systemic racism with leaders of the black community and anti-discrimination experts and activists.
Support the implementation of the OCPM’s recommendations, in key areas including, but not limited to: environmental racism, food security, culture, public security, and housing.
Launch a marketing campaign to raise awareness by using art for social change, while investing in racialized talents and artists to change the public discourse on discrimination and racism.
